Who we are
Forma provides practice software for independent personal trainers. This notice explains how personal data is handled when you visit this website or send us an enquiry. Forma is the controller of personal data collected through this website.
This notice covers the website only. How the Forma product protects trainers' and their clients' data is described on the Security page.
To make a request about your data, use the enquiry form on the demo page and mention “privacy request”.
What we collect
We keep this deliberately small.
| When | What |
|---|---|
| You send a demo enquiry | Your name, email address, business name (optional), the range of clients you train, and anything you write in the message box. |
| You use the enquiry form | Your IP address is checked briefly to limit repeated submissions and block automated abuse. |
| You browse the site | Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability. |
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts or social-media pixels on this website. Fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact a font provider when you load a page.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a demo. We do this because you asked us to, and it is in both our interests (legitimate interests).
- To keep the site secure by limiting repeated submissions and blocking abuse (legitimate interests).
- To run the site reliably using standard hosting logs (legitimate interests).
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use enquiry details for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website. They process data on our behalf and only for these purposes:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting and delivery. |
| Resend | Delivering enquiry notifications by email. |
| Upstash | Short-lived rate limiting on the enquiry form. |
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept only for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep a reasonable record of the conversation. Rate-limiting data is short-lived and expires automatically. Hosting logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your personal data;
- restrict or object to how we use it; and
- give you your data in a portable format.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if how we handle data changes, and revise the date at the top.
